Marigold Braised Tofu

Experience a unique and deeply satisfying plant-based staple with Marigold Braised Tofu. Crafted from a traditional Far Eastern recipe, this versatile delicacy is made from yuba—the delicate skin that forms on the surface of heated soya milk—which is carefully lifted, folded, and braised. Infused with soya sauce and a touch of sweet millet extract, it features a rich, savory flavor throughout and a uniquely tender, slightly chewy texture that sets it apart from standard pressed block tofu. Ready to eat straight from the can, it provides an excellent source of vegan protein.

Directions

To Eat Cold: Marigold Braised Tofu is fully cooked and ready to eat cold or at room temperature. It makes a fantastic, savory addition straight out of the tin into fresh green salads, picnic platters, or sliced up into sandwiches.

To Heat:

• Stir-Fry: Slice or cube the tofu and toss it directly into hot stir-fries with vegetables and noodles during the last 2 minutes of cooking to heat through.

• Hob: Empty the contents of the tin into a small saucepan and warm gently over low-to-medium heat for 3–4 minutes until hot.

• Casseroles & Curries: Gently fold the braised tofu into stews, curries, or bakes near the end of cooking, allowing it to absorb the surrounding sauces without breaking.

Once opened, transfer any unused tofu to a non-metallic airtight container, keep refrigerated, and consume within 2 days.
