In hard water areas, limescale buildup is the silent enemy of your kettle and steam iron. Why You’ll Love It
-
Energy Efficiency: A clean heating element transfers heat much more efficiently. By removing the limescale "insulation," your kettle boils faster, saving you electricity and money.
-
Improves Water Quality: Say goodbye to those annoying white flakes in your morning cup of tea or coffee. It restores the purity of the water used in your hot drinks.
-
Prevents Iron Damage: Limescale buildup in steam irons can clog steam vents and lead to brown spots on your clothes. Regular descaling keeps your iron steaming smoothly.
-
Safe & Natural: The citric acid-based formula is highly effective at breaking down calcium bonds without leaving behind the harsh, toxic chemical residues often found in conventional descalers.
-
Convenient Portioning: The pre-measured sachets take the guesswork out of the process, ensuring you use exactly the right amount for a single treatment.
How to Use
-
For Kettles:
-
Fill the kettle half-full with water and boil.
-
Add one sachet of descaler and leave it to soak for 30 minutes.
-
Empty the kettle, rinse it thoroughly, then fill with fresh water and boil one more time before discarding that water. You’re ready to go!
-
-
For Steam Irons:
-
Dissolve one sachet in 200ml of water.
-
Pour the solution into the water tank of a cool iron.
-
Set to a low heat, turn on the steam function, and "steam" the solution onto an old towel or rag until the tank is empty.
-
Rinse the tank with fresh water, then fill and steam through again to flush the system.
-
Pro Tip: If you live in a very hard water area, aim to descale your kettle every 3–4 weeks. This will keep the heating element pristine and ensure your appliance lasts much longer.
Keep your small appliances performing like new with the natural, plant-based power of Ecozone.
