Directions

Preparation: Drain the tofu and gently squeeze out any excess moisture using a clean tea towel or kitchen paper. For an even firmer texture that crisps up beautifully, wrap the block and place a heavy object (like a skillet or book) on top for 15–20 minutes before slicing.

Versatile Culinary Uses:

• Pan-Fry or Bake: Cut into cubes, toss in a little cornflour and your favorite seasonings, and pan-fry in oil or bake in the oven until golden and crispy.

• Stir-Fries & Curries: Cube and add directly to your favorite sizzling vegetable stir-fries or simmering coconut curries, allowing it to soak up the vibrant sauces.

• Scramble: Crumble the tofu into a pan with a pinch of turmeric, nutritional yeast, and black salt (kala namak) for a delicious, high-protein vegan alternative to scrambled eggs.

Once opened, keep any unused tofu submerged in fresh water inside an airtight container, store in the refrigerator, and consume within 2 days (changing the water daily).
